Really?

This is the new iPhone ad?

Samuel L Jackson and date night?

Just mediocre. Mediocre shouldn’t be used in the same breath with the name Apple.

IKEA isn’t afraid to step out of it’s comfort zone.
Yesterday we discovered this vid on Google+ it’s going Viral. This is a smart idea from IKEA.  People look to them to solve just this kind of problem. For many this will fit the bill for getting their small living room under control. It’s not going to set the world on fire but with the global reach the store has and the number of IKEA shoppers this could be a nice niche product for them.

Excellent design and detail by folks with an understanding of how we really use things. Check out the products at Studio Neat. You’ll find something thoughtful that you’ll want to use all the time.

Here’s how it’s made:

This is how it blasts off.

Responsive web design is a combination of fluid grids and images with media queries to change layout based on the size of a device viewport. It uses feature detection (mostly on the client) to determine available device capabilities and adapt accordingly.
— Ethan Marcotte

Guess what? Responsive web design is a trending topic but it’s not a new idea. We can remember talking about the same ideas back in Chicago at an American Center for Design conference in the early 90’s.

It’s the technology that has changed. Code that could recognize a device type and render content that remains without form until delivery is the holy grail of content viewing.
